RICHARD BLUCHER HOUSE205 NORTH CARRIZO STREET Richard Blucher was one of five children of Felix and Maria Von Blucher. In 1849, Felix Von Blucher purchased an 8-acre tract of land, which included this property. The existing residential and commercial properties within the tract were later known as Blucherville. This structure was built for Felix and Maria Von Blucher in 1880 as a one-story unit. In 1908, the second story was added making the residence 3400 square feet. The house is a fine example of Classical Revival architecture with a full width 2-story porch facing east and classical column supports. In 1935 Charles Blucher became the house's owner of record. The Blucher Family heirs donated the property to the Junior League of Corpus Christi in 1990, whereby the League renovated the property. « Previous Landmark | Next Landmark » |
