Lovenskiold Building LOVENSKIOLD BUILDING

This structure is the oldest standing commercial building in Corpus Christi. It was built in 1891 and served as a post office, library, telegraph office, and drug store. Over the years, the original cast iron and brick finish of the structure is currently contained behind the plaster façade of the building. This structure is the only known cast iron building in Corpus Christi. The roof is flat and "Binghams Drug Store" is painted on the rear brick.
